2016 wasn’t all bad to me. It had some truly horrible moments, but it wasn’t all bad.
That said, I hope 2017 is a million times better. I plan on approaching it with wide-eyed innocence and unprecedented optimism (you know, till Monday).
I said this last year, but I also plan to take better care of myself. I took one step–I quit smoking. I’ve had a total of six puffs in the last seven months, and I plan on having zero for the foreseeable future.
I didn’t lose weight, and breaking my ankle cost me muscle too, so starting this week, I plan on walking more. You can’t get the significance of that unless you know I barely take 2000 steps a day. Yes, I counted. Or my pedometer did. I plan on raising that number to 5000 for starters.
And I plan on writing more. I don’t know if I’ll be publishing it, but I’ll write. I’ve only given myself another year and a half to make writing my only career, and I need to work on that more.
I’d love to hear about your 2016. How was it? And what do you want out of 2017?
Happy 2017! May it heal wounds, soothe pains, and fill hearts with love and happiness!
